Blossom Word Finder

Put the centre letter in the middle and the six petals around it, then pick your bonus petal to see the highest-scoring words first.

0/7 letters · the purple centre letter is required

Not affiliated with Merriam-Webster. Letters can repeat; every word needs the centre letter.

How to use the Blossom word finder

Type the centre letter into the purple circle and the six petal letters around it. Each cell takes one letter and the finder blocks duplicates, so you can type quickly without checking. Press Find words to list every word of four or more letters that contains the centre letter and uses only the flower’s letters.

Next, tap the letter that is the bonus petal in your game. Scores update at once (each use of the bonus letter is worth 5 extra points), and the Top 12 box shows the strongest words to play. Switch the sort to Length to browse words group by group, or to A → Z to scan alphabetically.

Tips for a bigger Blossom score

  • Find the pangrams first. They carry a 7-point bonus on top of their length score.
  • Favour long words. A seven-letter word is worth six times a four-letter word, and every extra letter adds 3 more.
  • Chase the bonus letter. Words that repeat the bonus petal (two or three times) often beat longer words without it.
  • Think in endings. Suffixes like -ER, -ED, -LY and -ING turn short finds into long ones when the letters allow.

If you like hive puzzles, our Spelling Bee solver handles the seven-letter honeycomb with points and ranks, and the word unscrambler works for any set of letters.

Frequently asked questions

How does Blossom scoring work?
Four-letter words score 2 points, five letters 4, six letters 6 and seven letters 12, with 3 more points for every letter beyond seven. Using all seven letters (a pangram) adds 7 points, and every time the word uses the bonus petal letter it earns another 5.
Why should I pick a bonus petal?
The bonus petal can double the value of a word. Select the letter that is highlighted in your game and the list re-sorts instantly, so words that repeat that letter, like ELECTROLYTE with an E bonus, climb to the top.
Can a letter be used more than once?
Yes. Every word must contain the centre letter and use only the seven flower letters, but letters may repeat. That is why the finder is not limited to seven-letter words.
Why does the finder list words the game rejects?
Blossom uses its own curated dictionary. Our results come from standard game word lists, which include rarer words. Tick Common words only to hide most of them; rare words that remain are shown faded.
Is this an official Merriam-Webster tool?
No. The WordFinderZ Blossom word finder is an independent helper and is not affiliated with Merriam-Webster.
