How to use the Quordle solver

  1. Type the word you played and press Enter (or tap Add guess). It appears on all four boards.
  2. Copy the colours board by board. Tap a tile once for yellow, twice for green, three times to return to grey. Letters that were green in the same spot on that board are filled in for you.
  3. Read each board. Every board shows how many likely answers remain and the words themselves. Tap a word to see its definition.
  4. Pick the next guess. The suggestion list ranks words by the total number of answers expected to remain across all unsolved boards. Hit Play to add one.

How the four-board ranking works

For each board we keep only the words that would have produced exactly the colours you entered for every guess, repeated letters included. Then, for each candidate guess, we simulate the colours it would produce on every unsolved board and work out how many words would be left on average. Adding those averages together gives one number per guess; the smallest total wins.

That total naturally rewards words that are informative on several boards, and it gives a bonus to words that could also be an answer, because hitting one clears a board entirely.

Quordle strategy

  • Spend two or three openers on coverage. Words like ROATE, then LINDS and CHUMP (five fresh letters each), test fifteen different letters before you commit to any board.
  • Lock in sure things. When a board has a single word left, playing it also gives free information on the other boards, because every guess colours all four.
  • Solve the hardest board last only if you can afford it. Boards stuck between many similar words (_ATCH, _IGHT) need a probe word; schedule it while you still have guesses to spare.
  • Count your guesses. With nine guesses for four boards, you can afford roughly two exploring guesses before you need to start solving one board per turn.

Quordle Solver FAQ

How is this different from a Wordle solver?
Quordle gives you four puzzles that share every guess. A word that is perfect for one board can be wasted on the other three, so this solver tracks each board separately and ranks guesses by how much they narrow down all unsolved boards together.
Do I have to enter colours for solved boards?
No. Once a row turns fully green on a board, that board is marked solved and later guesses are ignored for it, just as a solved board stops changing in the game.
What does “Ready to lock in” mean?
Only one word still fits that board. Playing it costs one guess and is guaranteed to clear the board, which is often the right move when you are running low on guesses.
Why does the top suggestion sometimes not fit any board?
A word that cannot be an answer can still split the remaining words on several boards at once. Early in a game that is usually worth more than a long-shot guess at one board. Late in the game, prefer words marked “could solve board”.
Can I use it for the daily, practice or chill modes?
Yes. Every mode colours tiles the same way; only the number of guesses changes. Pick Classic (9), Chill (12), Extreme (8) or Sequence (10) from the mode menu so the guess counter matches your game. For Rescue mode, enter the pre-filled words as your first guesses.
Is there a solver for eight boards?
Yes. The Octordle solver works the same way with eight boards and thirteen guesses.
