About Word Cookies

Word Cookies is a letter-wheel puzzle game with a baking theme. Each level puts a few lettered cookies on a pan, and you swipe across them to spell words that fill a set of blank slots. Levels come in themed packs that grow from three-cookie starters to seven-letter puzzles with many slots. Valid words that aren't among the answers are dropped into a jar as extra words, and a full jar pays out a reward. There is no timer, so you can take your time on a level, and there's no penalty for looking up the one word that has you stuck.

How to use the Word Cookies cheat

Enter the letters on the pan and the finder lists every word you can make of three letters or more, the minimum the game accepts. Results are grouped by length, with the most common words at the top of each group, because Word Cookies answers are ordinary words rather than obscure dictionary entries.

Match the list to your puzzle using the slot lengths. If the level shows two empty five-letter slots, tap 5 letters above the results and try the top words first. Duplicate cookies matter: if the pan has two Os, as in OCOKIE, words that use both, like cookie, will appear. Words that would need a third O won't.

Tips for clearing levels faster

Start with the longest word

The longest answer uses every cookie on the pan. It's the hardest to spot, but finding it first gives you a feel for how the letters combine, and the short words often hide inside it. Lamest and metals from SELTAM contain meat, team, last, salt and more.

Work through plurals and tenses

If there is an S on the pan, try adding it to every short word you've found. With E and D, try past tenses. Both tricks fill several slots quickly.

Rotate the pan in your head

Read the letters starting from a different cookie each time. A new starting point breaks the pattern your eyes keep falling into.

Fill the jar on purpose

Extra words aren't wasted. Swiping in the shorter results from this page fills your jar faster, which means more free hints for later levels.

Daily challenges and higher levels

Word Cookies adds daily puzzles and limited-time events on top of the main levels. The finder works the same way for all of them because it works from the letters, not from a level number. Higher levels use longer words. For six- and seven-cookie pans, the length buttons are the quickest way to cut a long list down to the slot you're stuck on. To practise outside the game, browse the five-letter and six-letter word lists.

Example: the SELTAM pan

Take a typical six-cookie pan. The letters S, E, L, T, A and M make 108 words of three letters or more. Three of them use every cookie: lamest, metals and the rarer samlet. Below them are 25 five-letter words, 50 four-letter words and 30 three-letter words. A level only uses a handful of these as answers. They will be common words like metal, steam, meat, salt and tame, so start at the top of each group and work down. Everything else you find goes into the extra-words jar.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the answer to a Word Cookies level?
Enter the letters on your cookie pan above and press Find words. Tap the length that matches the empty slots to see only the words that could fit.
Do I need the level number?
No. The finder works from the letters, so it handles every level, daily puzzle and event without needing the level number.
Why does Word Cookies reject a word from the list?
The game uses a smaller list of common words than our dictionary. Try the words at the top of each length group first. Rejected valid words often still count toward the extra-words jar.
Can a letter be used twice?
Only if it appears twice on the pan. Each cookie can be used once per word, and the finder follows the same rule.
What is the shortest word in Word Cookies?
Three letters, so this page hides two-letter words.
