How Quordle works
Each guess appears on all four boards and is coloured separately for each one: green for the right spot, yellow for the wrong spot, grey for absent. Solve a board and it locks; your remaining guesses keep going on the others. Your score is the total number of guesses used.
Besides the Classic puzzle there are daily variants:
- Chill is the same idea with extra guesses (12).
- Extreme allows fewer guesses (8) for a tougher challenge.
- In Rescue, some guesses are already filled in and you must recover with the rest.
- In Sequence, boards open one at a time, so order matters.
Quordle strategy
- Spend two or three guesses on information. With four answers to find, opening with words that cover ten to fifteen different common letters pays off.
- Solve the easiest board first. Once a board has only one candidate, finish it, then reuse the new letters on the others.
- Pick guesses that help several boards. A word that is a likely answer on one board and tests open letters on another is the ideal play.
- Keep a guess in reserve. Don't gamble on a coin-flip board until the others are safe.
Our Quordle solver tracks the candidates on each board for you.
